Kinoo is one of the most scenic areas in the west of Nairobi, it is also home to some of the richest and at the same time, most needly families. Through the pioneer project, Kinoo Youth Empowerment Project, Abana mentors 24 youth from Kinoo Kenya and provided Financial Literacy training. In December of 2021, the five best performing students from the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority Institute were awarded with starter tool kids to enable them to pursue self employment. The five kits went to top students in Hair Dressing and Beauty Therapy, Mechanics, Plumbing, Fashion Design and Garment Making, and Electronics. Similar interventions will be made in communities in future, taking into account lessons learned.
